Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay illustrates the reasons why William Shakespeare is still an extremely current author four hundred years after his death. In particular, the essay focuses on the centrality of man and human nature in Shakespeare's works, and demonstrates how, precisely for this reason, Bardo's works are still studied today and are appreciated even by younger readers. Finally, the essay proposes a brief excursus on Shakespeare in the mass media and cites as examples some transpositions in comics, films and television series.
