Abstract
The objective of this series of articles is to provide an introduction, more cultural than technical, on the topic of generative artificial intelligence, to illustrate its operating principles, potential and limitations. The presentation is developed, in three parts, with progressive focuses, from the very idea of a learned behavior system (Machine Learning), to artificial neural networks, which are currently the main method for creating machine learning systems, and finally to generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) systems, of which chatbots, such as ChatGPT, are currently the best known example.
