Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The study analyzes the trial held in Italy against the Templars arrested by order of the inquisition. Rinaldo da Concorezzo presided over the sessions related to testimonial depositions. In the second session of Ravenna in June 1311 he came to an important decision in defense of the Italian Templars, since the assembly of the participants recognized innocence for those who confessed under torture, thus removing legitimacy from the use of physical coercion.
