Abstract
The development of a multicultural society, as a consequence of globalisation processes, involves a deep transformation of cultural, ethnic, territorial, and political categories of belongigness. This leads on the one hand to the necessity of questioning previous and deeply rooted identities, on the other hand to the opportunity of developing new identities, possibly multiple identities or inclusive identities. In this chapter I took into account psychological and social conditions that may impede these changes or vice versa favour them.
