Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The article tries to present a summary of the history of the Spanish-American black novel, based on the traditional theoretical distinction between classic black novel and hard-boiled black novel. Based on the Poe and Quiroga models, he hypothesizes that the validation of the police novel was made by Borges in 1944 and that the successive realization embraces the North American model, to become a new mode of the social novel.
