Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The volume starts from the criticism of the classical concept of justice based on the correspondence of behaviors and expressed by the image of the balance. On this basis, it is argued that acting in relation to evil cannot consist in the repetition of evil, but must assume the contours of a design, always according to the good of all the parties involved, which tends to make right interpersonal relations again and social problems marked by evil: in the wake of restorative justice. The good reasons of the latter are deepened through contributions of a multidisciplinary nature (juridical, theological, philosophical, pedagogical, literary, psychological). Its potential is considered, above all, with regard to the needs of reforming penal sanction systems and, in this context, with regard to a non-simplifying understanding of the crime prevention dynamics. It should be noted, moreover, that the subject addressed, if it finds the most easily perceived context in the criminal problem, represents a pivotal cultural node of our civilization, which invests the questions of war and peace, political relations, intersubjective relationships.
