Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] How can social workers adequately address the uncertainty that characterizes their work? How can they cope with the complexity of situations? The article highlights the importance of considering, among the important variables in professional work, that of time, understood both as chronos, or from the quantitative point of view, both as kairòs, that is from the point of view of quality. This element is analyzed in the context of the concept of "practical wisdom", which refers to the ways in which the operator integrates the knowledge of himself, of the user and of what is happening between them at that moment. From the reflection emerge useful observations to understand the importance of the integration between theory, technique, knowledge and professional wisdom, which allows us to operate at best in the specificity of each situation
