Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Introduction: The phenomenon of unemployment has different psychological components, from discouragement to the sense of self-depreciation. These components often play a role in delaying the unemployment situation and in some cases turning it into inactivity. Objectives: This study proposes an intervention based on a meditative pathway, aimed at increasing awareness and accessibility of personal psychological resources (mindfulness-based stress reduction). Methods: The course was aimed at unemployed people and some employees of the Province who work in this area, with a pre-post assessment of the results. Results: Following the course, the participants report improvements in their quality of life and well-being, as well as in resilience and coping styles. Conclusions: A meditative path can improve the well-being of job seekers and the operators who work in this field.
