Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The privatization process that involved municipal companies in Italy since the 1990s led to the formation of multi-utility companies listed on the Stock Exchange but with a majority of capital in the hands of the Municipalities that operate in high density (and uncertainty) markets regulative. This new structure has created mixed incentives for new companies, and the emergence of very different and sometimes inconsistent governance models and business strategies.
