Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Increasing attention is being given to the phenomenon of start-ups by economic and institutional organizations. Is it possible to speak of a phenomenon? What determinants define not only the establishment but also the development of a start-up? The prevailing attention in the past was focused on dimensions within the company concerning the entrepreneur and entrepreneurship. Today the resources to which the entrepreneur can access are enhanced through the network of inter-organizational relations that becomes the backbone of the business model and a significant factor for the competitive advantage of the start-up. The objective of this preliminary study is to investigate the emergence of a new business model to support the development of innovative start-ups. The analysis determined the dimensions to be investigated in a subsequent phase of the research project. This project will consist of the development of case studies concerning the innovative start-ups present in the Lombardy Region and a subsequent quantitative research on a national scale.
