Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The treatise by Cardinal Federico Borromeo entitled La grazia de' Principi represents a rather advanced stage in the reflections of the prelate, now also archbishop of Milan, several times conclavist and well versed in international political events, as well as those relating to the Roman Church, on the complicated questions of political obligation and in particular, on the themes of obedience, command and the intersection between reasons of State and reasons of the Church.
