Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay presents the results of a research, carried out by the Observatory on Communication of the Catholic University on the commission of the "TV and minors" Committee, intended to carry out a survey on the systems of protection of the child public in the context of generalist Television in six European countries to try, by way of comparison, to identify the most significant models and trends within different national landscapes, the cases of France, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Great Britain and the Netherlands were analyzed. For each of these six countries, the research focused on the complex of regulatory sources, from European Union directives that include individual national legislation to constitutional norms, to laws to protect minors and regulate the broadcasting system, up to to the guidelines, codes of ethics and self-regulation phenomena implemented by the individual deputies (producers, broadcasters, advertisers, etc.), with the aim of grasping the mutual integration of these rules in a real “protection system "Effective and consistent, at least from a formal point of view.
