Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Ethnography is one of the main methods of qualitative research, whose fields of application concern both applied psychosocial research and the study of organizations. Although more than a century has passed since its introduction in the field of scientific production, the number of ethnographic research remains limited when compared to other research methods, less expensive in terms of time and energy. In recent years this trend has been changing, as demonstrated by the growing application of this method in the academic, practical and popular fields. This chapter wants to offer the reader the bases and the main operational references of a method often considered, improperly, anti-methodological, lacking consistency, replicability and generalizability.
