Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The work presented here is divided into three essays. The first essay offers a critical analysis of reform processes and issues related to the autonomy of educational institutions in the Italian context. The second essay focuses on the level of transparency achieved by educational institutions through the Internet, understood as the main means of communication and information on a large scale. Finally, the third essay explores the use of the social report as a useful tool for pursuing the accountability of schools.
