Abstract

In the context of the profound transformations of the late antique Roman military structures is part of a news Zosimus. The new rates of cavalry framed by Aureliano to deal with the Palmyrene army are armed with truncheons. The comparison with the epigraphic and archaeological material with the contemporary and later, and with the evidence seems to confirm that the Sassanid Empire saw armored cavalry since the second half of the third century AD the transformation of its individual equipment offensive
