Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The scientific credibility of pedagogy passes through the environment, stimulating original heuristic perspectives on environmental issues and offering reflective-design contributions to the sustainability of life, to cultivate the human. Sustainability, among the terms that most often occur in today's cultural debate, cannot be separated from human development and social responsibility. Despite numerous ambiguities, it constitutes a focal point of discussion between different scientific disciplines, acting as a regulative idea and an epistemic crossroads also for pedagogical theorizing. It frames the term in the horizon of human dignity. On the heels of the volume Pedagogy of the environment 2017 (Iavarone, Malavasi, Orefice, Pinto Minerva, 2017) this publication interprets sustainability as a fabric and a plot, a multidisciplinary and multi-faceted horizon and perspective. The various contributions question the complexity of reality, offer interpretations and suggestions in the sign of a future and development perspective for humanity, rethinking the traditional parameters in human-world representations, the intertwining of points of view and educational cultures in the common ground of pedagogical scientificity.
