Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] In Trame del tempo, the story told becomes a living and engaging matter, it comes alive with voices, images, great protagonists and ordinary people. The story also becomes the historian's laboratory through the close integration of documents, historiography, images and papers in the paragraphs (Materials), welcoming all the novelties of the most recent historiography and without files and paratextual devices that interrupt it.
The male and female students are thus shown how "making history" means on the one hand telling stories, and on the other constantly reasoning about their validity, and about the solidity of the traces that lead us to tell them.
Each chapter opens with a reading key in which the author or authoress offers a point of view on how to read the following pages. Documents, historiography, iconographic sources, papers (Materials) are inserted in the historical narration and not confined to accompanying apparatuses.
At the end of the chapter: chronology and linear synthesis of the fundamental events and processes (Basic knowledge), and batteries of activities (For learning) ranging from memorization to the analysis of the Materials (sources, historiography, etc.) of the chapter.
For each Unit: In the historian's laboratory on historiography, sources, history and imagery (literature, art, film, pop culture); Skills laboratory on written and oral tests of the State Exam. In each volume: To become a citizen@, extensive information on civic education.
The design of the integrative digital contents - author's video lessons and flipped classroom for each chapter, Working on the source, Online history, Staged history, concept maps, EAS lessons, and a rich repertoire of additional sources and historiography - was entrusted to a teacher expert in digital teaching and media literacy, Enrica Bricchetto.
The Guide to lessons and digital teaching, reserved for teachers, offers programming, checks, solutions, indications for the design of the PCTO and the sections Lessons: a guided tour for each volume. With tools for inclusive teaching, in which for each chapter of the manual the possibilities of articulating the lessons are suggested starting from documentary materials incorporated in the text or available online, minimum educational objectives and inclusive tools.
