Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] In this contribution we analyze the multiple functions of the points of suspension in the novelistic prose of Octave Mirbeau. After a detour concerning the status of the points of suspension inside the grammars of the beginning of the 20th century, we propose some tracks of analysis starting from the representation of the speed (the car at Mirbeau and at Proust), as well than the inscription of the unspeakable through the "multiple point" (Mirbeau, Rimbaud).
