Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Before examining the question of which name (whether GPA or rented uterus or maternity for third parties and other possibilities) is more appropriate to describe the practice, it is necessary to understand what are the essential elements that define it, so that we can then reflect on the reason why this bioethical question ends up affecting closely some of the founding nuclei of the ethos of our civilization.
