Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] As for cork stoppers, even for alternative stoppers the standard life cycle assessment (LCA) method is the most used to define the potential impact on the environment. The possible actions to reduce the environmental impact, in the case of alternative caps in aluminum and synthetic material, have been identified in the reduction of the unit weight of the cap (where possible, maintaining the technological performances) and in the use of electric energy from sources renewable.
