Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Affiliation is one of the major innovations of the 1942 civil code (Title XI, articles 398-408). The provisions in question prepared a legal protection in favor of abandoned minors. However, these were not innocuous or insignificant rules. Through them the fascist regime put in place a complex legal operation aimed at securing individuals perfectly aligned with the dominant ideology. This study investigates the origins and contents of these norms. Furthermore, in the light of important archival documentation, it demonstrates the great success of this design.
