Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The volume collects a series of contributions dedicated by Giuseppe Frasso to colleagues and friends to celebrate it. The chronological span of the studies is wide, from its origins to the twentieth century. The areas investigated are equally varied: poetry and prose, decisive personalities of literary history and minor figures, scholarly environments, textual traditions, manuscript and printed books. The range of research clearly demonstrates the richness of a generous and open magisterium, never concluded in itself and always ready to confront new interests. The only constant is the rigor of the method: the search for truth (ascertainable or conceivable) through an integral philology, intended as a patient comparison with sources, documents, texts.
