Abstract
The purpose of our study is to shed light on Giuseppe Ricci Oddi’s activities as shareholder, company director,
owner, and credit director. To achieve this goal, we will start with a descriptive and content analysis of several unpublished
administrative registers relating to his assets. Based on the accounting information found, relating to the years 1896-1929, the
article aims to present the figure of this nobleman from Piacenza in a new light, that of a shrewd entrepreneur: even before
becoming a collector and a devote of the figurative arts
