Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution intends to clarify the role of the so-called Porziana basilica in the pastoral activity of Ambrogio of Milan, and in particular on the occasion of the so-called "conflict of the basilicas" in the years 385-386 AD It will result an attempt to identify the Porziana among the ancient Milanese basilicas and to establish why he was at the center of this conflict.
