Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Thomas of Jesus, a prominent figure of the Teresian Carmel, philosopher and theologian, follower of St. Thomas, has elaborated a mystical doctrine of great importance by recovering the sources of the Fathers of the Church, of the scholastic philosophers and of the Rhenish mystics. His doctrine is based on the distinction between acquired contemplation and infused contemplation, two ways that allow man to reach the contemplation of God.
