The scientific relevance of an individual factor needs more than a case presentation

Abstract

On the basis of a case study presentation, the paper argues that only the repeated observation that some kind of (apparently) idiosyncratic material is somehow connected to positive outcomes in many different cases of psychotherapy would justify the etiopathogenetic relevance of that material.
