Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The opening of the impeachment procedure against Donald Trump and the start of public sessions for the hearing of the witnesses summoned during the investigation represent the latest development of a story that began with the same arrival of the President in the White House. Although the story is still in its infancy, its potential implications are clear. Advertising the hearings is a constant source of embarrassment for the White House; an even more serious source of embarrassment for its coincidence with the approach of 2020 and the election date. This figure contrasts sharply with the lack of favor that Donald Trump enjoys in the democratic electorate but also signals the fact that the electoral confrontation is still open and that the chances of reconfirmation of the outgoing President, next November, are quite different that you run out
