Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] So far it has not been the sophisticated weapons of mass destruction that have spread the fear and panic of the terrorist attack, but the precise organization, the simple tactics and the surprise effect caused by people who want to give up their lives just to kill their enemy: today the evil of suicide terrorism affects a substantial number of countries. This volume aims to investigate some aspects of suicide missions from an operational, historical, legislative and strategic point of view in order to clarify the phenomenon through multiple approaches, in the spirit of ITSTIME applied research, to help formulate an answer to the question that in many ask, "Is it possible to stop those who are willing to kill themselves to kill?"
