Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The child's growth, starting from the secure base of stable and trustworthy bonds, is characterized by the expansion of emotional references and the need to establish connections and hierarchies between them. In situations of foster care, two points of reference co-exist with different roles - the natural and the foster family - in a meta-family field. In adoption, this meta-familial field is present at a symbolic level, from an equally powerful psychological point of view. Particular situations, between foster care and adoption, make this meta-family horizon evident.
