Abstract

Thanks to a careful survey of the archive the essay shows the events about the medieval parish of the Santa Maria of Nave (Brescia), special attention is also paid to the history of the Garza's valley in the Middle Ages. Finally the study shows the relationship of the parish, the monastic presence, the episcopal properties and their social and economic functions in the area of this valley
