Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] This chapter deals with the issues of verbal and non-verbal communication skills in the aphasic patient, and how they can be rehabilitated. It also deals with non-aphasic patients with communicative pragmatic disorders, and more generally with social communication disorders, a framework frequently found in the phenomenology of cranio-encephalic trauma. Finally, it deals with situations in which cognitive and internal language skills are partially or completely preserved, and there is a deficit in expressive modalities. In these cases, the rehabilitation intervention is aimed at research and training in the use of alternative channels to communication, sometimes also thanks to the use of external aids.
