Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The interpretation of the figure of Teramene by the sources of the late fifth century differs from that of the sources of IV; the latter, inserted in a context of democratic orthodoxy, has a propagandistic character. Isocrates, in particular, attempts to present as a democrat a Teramen-type program, which identifies democracy with the patrios politeia.
