[Autom. eng. transl.] With this contribution, we aim to analyze, from a sociological perspective, the theme of organization and the meaning of life times, with particular reference to the working and family dimensions - as well as, of course, the conciliation between them. To this end, it is necessary to take into account the significant changes that have affected the daily reality of people (and in particular women) in recent decades, both at work and at family level. As regards the first aspect, overcoming the female disadvantage that has characterized the Italian school system for a long time has given rise to great transformations, attributable to the massive entry of women into the world of work; an increasingly flexible, but also unstable and precarious world of work, in a word, "de-standardized" (AA.VV., 2013). In the family environment, we have witnessed profound structural and cultural changes: a process of simplification of the family structure is underway (families are less and less numerous), as well as having changed the family context in which people live and the life experiences of the different generations on the scene (often three) are realized, with a shift forward of all the phases of the life cycle. Furthermore, the family is increasingly "denormatized" and characterized by different forms of agreement (pluralization of family forms).
