Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Third, and last, report closing the three-year survey that OssCom, the Catholic University's media and communication research center, carried out with the support of Sky Italia on behalf of Focus in media - Observatory of the Foundation for Subsidiarity on the theme of Children's Television (CT), that is, of television aimed at children and preadolescents in our country. After the analysis of the thematic television offer destined to this specific target (first report) and the description of the normative social discourses that express the expectations nourished by the different actors and stakeholders towards the CT (second report), this report presents a reasoned collection of privileged testimonies gained in the context of the entire CT ecosystem. The research questions to which the report responds is "what conditions make it easier for the CT to respond effectively to these expectations" and "because the TC is not always able to meet them". It was therefore a question of capturing the strengths and weaknesses of the CT in a systemic perspective: that is, trying to take into consideration the complexity of the relationships that bind the actors of the production and distribution chain together, the institutions aimed at the regulation and control of programming, the direct and indirect audiences of this form of cultural production.
