Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The objective of the chapter is to frame the current health policy scenarios within the organization of health services, in order to discuss the relationship between organizational choices and the care of people. The analysis will start from a systemic level, with a macro viewpoint, to arrive at a micro level, which looks both at the market (understood as a set of relations of exchange of health services between people in need of care and producers capable of providing these treatments), and to the individual producer. The discussion of health policies is limited to the Italian case and to some relevant issues from the perspective of personalized medicine.
