Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The Pauline exegesis of Taubes has a very precise intention: to sketch a "messianic logic" capable of reorienting history, freeing it from all sorts of political powers and regulations. Taubes perceives as irrevocable an appeal that he reads in Paul: to win both the pure exteriority of the state law (the Roman imperium) and the mere heteronomy of ethnic bonds, the "second-flesh Israel". Neither nomos nor ethos: but the only precept of love of neighbor, an absolutely revolutionary and eschatological choice.
