Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] "Western eschatology" (1947) is the only work published in life by Taubes, a rabbi descended from rabbis. In it peon the idea-guide of his research: history demands the question about its own essence but the answer to this question can be formulated only in a metaphorical direction, and precisely in the light of an apocalyptic-messianic idea.
