Abstract

Doctor Gustavo Duque, a geriatrician investigator, Professor Faculty of Medicine, Doctor Joseph Kaufman chair in geriatric medicine at McGill University and member of the steering committee of the Global Frailty Network, interviewed Doctor Emanuele Marzetti during the International Conference on Frailty and Sarcopenia Research 2023 in Toulouse, France. Doctor Marzetti is a board-certified geriatrician, associate professor of internal medicine at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Rome, Italy), and the director of the orthogeriatric unit of the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli IRCCS of Rome. Doctor Marzetti discussed the results of the SPRINTT trial, “Sarcopenia and Physical fRailty IN other people multicomponenT Treatment strategies.” SPRINTT was a phase three multicenter randomized controlled trial focused on physical frailty and sarcopenia in older adults.
