Abstract

Erasmus is tormented by war as apparent madness, demonstrated by the futility of the reasons why the Kings are willing to venture into bloody wars. Full war of ignominy and absurd if between Christian princes; how is precisely at the time when Erasmus writes. The study is divided into three stages. Starting from the analysis of the relationship between war and human nature, in order to identify the nature of war and its origins. Discussing the Church's position about the war. It will see if for Erasmus it is possible a war and/or a war inevitable. It will conclude with an economic analysis of war offered by Erasmus.
