SYNONYMIE ET QUASI-SYNONYMIE DANS LES EKPHRASEIS DE PROUST : « LA VÉRITÉ, MÊME LITTÉRAIRE, N’EST PAS LE FRUIT DU HASARD »

[Autom. eng. transl.] The objective of the essay is to emphasize a relatively unexplored aspect of Proustian descriptions: the use of (quasi) synonyms in the ekphraseis of the work. We know, according to Aristotle, that "synonyms are especially useful to the poet", but when the "poet" in question is called Proust, the current notion of synonymy can be upset. Moreover, the very definition of the phenomenon is often disputed by lexicographers. By means of an analysis of the lexicon used in exemplary passages as well as in some drafts, it will be shown that the multiplication of (quasi) synonyms is a camouflage aesthetic peculiar to the narrative architecture, which shifts the traditional stylistic analysis.
