Abstract
For axially symmetric domains we prove that, under suitable assumptions,\r\nthere exist mountain-pass solutions which exhibit partial symmetry. Furthermore, we show\r\nthat semi-stable or non-degenerate smooth solutions need to be radially symmetric in the\r\nball.
