Abstract
In this particular historical period, continuous changes require social and work adaptation. In this context, particular attention should be paid to the situation of workers over 50 in Italy. In particular, some hypotheses support the positive role played by Perceived Organizational Support (Pos), which is assumed to have an important impact in improving\ r\ n the involvement of these people, through the mediation of Age identity. These opinions are supported by the Theory of Social Identity (Tajfel and Turner, 1979) and the Theory of Organizational Support (Rhoades, Eisenberger and Armeli, 2001) and by a study that is part of a larger project called “Ageless talents”, conducted in Italy on a sample of 12,746 senior workers. To test these assumptions, a linear regression model was built.
