[Autom. eng. transl.] In the case of children and young people with linguistic or reading difficulties, there is a need to identify effective and stimulating methodologies useful for countering feelings of frustration. Music, with its potential, can make a valuable contribution to the enhancement of verbal language, with which it has different points of contact. The article describes some hypotheses underlying the transfer of skills from the musical to the linguistic domain, the conditions that make musical practice effective for improving verbal skills and some training proposed in this field. Finally, the perspectives of this area of intervention are discussed.
