Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] In this chapter we will consider some ethical issues related to the use of the internet and information technologies, both in professional practice and in research. The contribution does not pretend to be exhaustive, given the vastness of the topic, but aims to provide opportunities for reflection on professional and research aspects closely related to the widespread use of IT tools. In our opinion, in fact, many of the issues that will be addressed in the near future, not only of an ethical nature but also of a methodological and professional nature, will not be able to ignore or underestimate the increasingly important role of the internet and information technologies in the field of practice and Research. However, the massive use of information technology does not necessarily necessarily lead to the emergence of new ethical dilemmas: assessing in which cases the use of these technologies leads to the repetition of already existing issues in a new area and in which instead it brings authentic elements of novelty is in fact an open question that deserves attention
