Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The article attempts to put the concept of crisis of cartographic reason described by Franco Farinelli to the test, transferring it to the cinematographic field, which would be a characteristic phenomenon of the contemporary episteme. Considering the way maps are represented in some recent films (such as Alexander [O. Stone, 2004], The Three Burials [TL Jones, 2006] and The Guardians of Destiny [G. Nolfi, 2011]) it surprises the punctual credit crisis traditionally assigned to maps. Which is also and above all a metaphorical commentary on the ancient cartographic vocation of cinema. ""
