Abstract

Boethius's _In Topica Ciceronis_ was very influential and widely read and studied in Medieval scholarship. A modern critical edition is still a _desideratum_. This research shows that, using the appropriate tools, it is possible to reduce the manual work of collation / comparison, produce a draft of a critical apparatus, therefore making a critical edition of a work witnessed by many manuscripts a realistically feasible project
