Abstract
The essay firstly analyzes the reasons why the concept of the common good has been increasingly shadowed during the last decades. It is the tecno-nihilist framework of culture and society that debased the very premises upon which the question of the common good may be properly posed and become a matter of collective interest again. Secondly, in taking into account the new challenges provoked by the ongoing crisis, the essay shows in which way the importance of the common good is coming out again within some specific social processes. Here the common good is conceived in terms of shared value, as a driver for a growth path of new generation.
