Abstract

In this review of the literature some studies on children suggestionibility connected to participation and emotional connotation to the event are presented. Studies on suggesti-bility have shown how the ability of children to resist suggestive questions increases when they are the protagonists and not the mere observers of the event (Gobbo, Mega & Pipe, 2002; Quas & Schaaf, 2002; Rudy & Goodman, 1991). Other studies have also underlined how resistance to suggestibility increases when the events have a particularly emotive value for the child (Eisen et al., 2002; Quas et al., 1999) The participation and the emotional connotation of the event seem to be considered in literature more and more two variables that could strength the mnestic trace and consequently arise the children re-sistance to suggestive questions.
