Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Today's applications of medicine have introduced these and many transformations into the human procreative act, making the idea that a sort of "reproductive revolution" is underway plausible. Among the resulting problems of the transformations taking place there is, on the one hand, an involutionary effect on human generation, in the sense that they have reduced or risk reducing the "event" represented by birth to a mere "biological fact", of "approaching "Dangerously the mechanisms that give it to those of animal reproduction and to render" superfluous ", in the generative process, the affective-moral integration between two people, which is then what more specifically qualifies the human reproducing. On the other hand, there are a series of changes in the social scene concerning the attitude that the adult has towards the new born and the "symbolic status" of the child, whose image is less and less associated with notions such as "guest", "Gift" "fruit", "blessing" and always associated with that of "desire" to be satisfied at all costs. The contribution attempts to deepen these critical points.
