Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Plasmopara viticola Berl. et De Toni is the causal agent of vine blight. The outbreaks of this Oomicete can cause very serious production losses and deterioration of quality in all the cultivation areas characterized by mild and rainy premature. In this paper a conceptual model for polymorphic pathogens is presented which could constitute the supporting structure of a dynamic model able to simulate both the quantitative and qualitative aspects of the entire peronosporic epidemic. This type of model is in fact very well adapted to fully mechanical sub-models capable of dynamically simulating both primary and secondary infections. Here are presented the conceptual characteristics of the structural model and the sub-models "primary infections" and "secondary infections"
